- • Instead of creating a measuring task with the gauge, the claims adjuster uses the convenient PC software. After entering the parameters, send the information from the PC to the gauge by the click of a button.
- • All measurements recorded for different car body parts (such as fender or engine hood) are stored within the gauge and transmitted to the documentation and management software via the USB wireless adaptor. Here, the adjuster can also embed the original photo of the car to be measured within the log.

- CarCheck system Plus is an innovative gauge for non-destructive coating thickness measurements of non-magnetic coatings such as lacquer, paint, chromium or zinc on steel or iron. It also measures electrically insolated coatings such as lacquer, paint or anodizing aluminum on non-iron material.
- Since the claims adjuster's job mostly done in the field, a device such as the CarCheck system plus is required that via simple connection to a laptop computer downloads measurements to the insurance company's database and upload digital photos of damaged car. CarCheck System PLUS helps insurance companies via their claims departments to generate expert reports by using image and data based documentation of coating thickness measurements before and after paint work. Original photos in car claims reports ( before and after) improves the validation of a report regarding accident damage and insurance claims. It is not only a device for post - repair inspection.

How CARCHECK SYSTEM PLUS WORKS
- Insert the CarCheck System PLUS software CD into your CD drive and follow instructions to install – needed only once. During the installation, prepare the CarCheck system plus by inserting the batteries. Make sure you have the right polarity of the batteries as indicated.
- Make a list of the car body parts of the car that is to be inspected. Body parts must be listed in a sequence, for example, 1,2,3,4….i.e, 1.) Hood, 2.) Fender front right, etc… Now, press the bottom arrow of the Carcheck system PLUS to access a job – a job is the complete measuring task of a car. The gauge stores up to 10 jobs.
- Press the right arrow of the CarCheck system PLUS to create a new job. Assign the job number, say Job 0001… Job 0002 etc., as indicated on the gauge Display. Continue to press the right arrow until the job is confirmed with OK.
- Activate this job by scrolling down – with bottom arrow, to that job and then press right arrow to confirm activation. Activated job will be displayed as Job 001 B 0001 #0. With B 001 indicating the body part 1 for Hood.
- Take the desired number of readings on that body part. # will indicate the number of readings taken for the particular body part.
- When enough number of readings has been taken for that body part, press the right arrow to move to the next body part (B 002) where readings are also taken.
- Continue this procedure until all required body parts (B001, B002, B003………… B0010) have been measured – you can always use the left arrow to return to the previous body pay.
- Return to job in the main menu and click Finish to complete job.
- Now you have completed the job on the CarCheck system PLUS and need to create a Report.
- Open the installed CarCheck system PLUS software. Click NEW and fill in data required, job name, appraiser information, customer information.
- Click EDIT COMPONENTS and add the body parts relevant for the job completed with the CarCheck system PLUS. Add Logo of the Insurance company if need be.
- Check if the gauge wireless Interface is on (go to Setup).
- Click SEARCH on the Software – The gauge Serial number appears in the gauge field.
- Click CREATE JOB.
- You can now transmit measurements from body gauge to software.
- Click SEARCH and then click READ JOB – A list of jobs memorized in the body
- Select the desired job. You might also click all to transmit all jobs from the gauge to software.
- For a single chosen job, click APPLY to transfer data to a single sheet.
- Click ADD IMAGE to download pictures of the car, especially body parts where readings were taken.
- With both readings and images on the report, click, hold and drag readings to their respective positions on the image then press SAVE. – readings can be contrasted from the car body color.
- Go to FILE and press SAVE and REPORT to save and display report.
- With the right mouse, click of the report to convert to your preferred format (excel, pdf or word)
- Also, readings can be assigned to body parts automatically.
